As The Morning Sports reported earlier, a few leading seniors of the previous Sri Lanka ODI team, including former Sri Lanka ODI Captain Dimuth Karunaratne, and Angelo Mathews as well as Dinesh Chandimal, have all been not included in the squad.
Kusal Mendis, who had been dropped from the team due to poor form, has been recalled as we at the Morning had predicted earlier.
The national selectors have opened the door for a few new faces too. They are Chamika Karunaratne, Shiran Fernando, and Binura Fernando while also retaining Pathum Nissanka, Ashen Bandara, and Ramesh Mendis who had recently entered the Sri Lanka white-ball squad.
