SL receives first Maritime Patrol Aircraft from India

The first of two Maritime Patrol Aircrafts acquired by Sri Lanka from India after lengthy negotiations since 2018, arrived at Katunayake Air Force base this morning (15).

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander’s of the Sri Lanakn armed forces and Vice Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, Vice Adm. SN Ghormade graced the event.

Additionally, India celebrates 75 years of independence today.
