A loan agreement of 28 million Euros has been signed between the Government of Sri Lanka and the KFW Bank in Germany for financing the Maha Modara Maternity Hospital Project.
The Government Information Department states that another supplementary loan agreement has been signed with the same bank at a value of €13 Mn for the same project thereafter.
The German Government has expressed their concurrence to convert the amount of 13 million Euros obtained as a supplementary amount into a financial grant.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the resolution furnished by the Minister of Finance to entrust the power to the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance to enter into the relevant grant agreement.
