Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is reportedly compelled to postpone again the country’s major domestic first-class cricket tournament and the limited-over league due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country.
The two domestic events are set to begin early September.
“It is difficult to have bio-security bubbles for every club that is taking part in the domestic tournament. The (ongoing) SLC T20 League in Pallekele will go on uninterrupted as it is played within a bubble.
There is a likelihood that the inter-club events will be postponed until the situation hopefully improves,” a senior SLC ex-co official told the Morning Sports on Tuesday (17).
