Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary and State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara says that the SLFP has “no complaints” regarding the 2022 Budget.
While speaking to The Morning, he stated that investments made in local manufacturing will bring in foreign exchange.
"I don't see a particular emphasis when it comes to foreign exchange, whereas I think the investments made towards local manufacturing of products like fabrics will help the economy rise. Investing in industrial zones such as Eravur will help sustain the economy and also help in foreign exchange generation," he said
Jayasekara further mentioned that he is pleased with the budget allocations for his Ministry, which was an additional Rs. 1000 million, and says that the Budget that was tabled today has been good so far.
