SLFP has no intention to leave Govt. says Maithripala

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and former President Maithripala Sirisena says that the party has no intention of leaving the government, while adding that steps have been taken to reorganise the party throughout Sri Lanka.

These statements were made in response to questions from the media following the conclusion of the SLFP’s Galle District Convention which was held on Thursday (29).

Sirisena explained that the party has a policy on contemporary politics of Sri Lanka and that its views have been presented to the government on multiple previous occasions.

SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara, Environment Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, Central Committee Member Suren Raghavan, Party and District organisers were also present at this occasion.
