In order to solve the power crisis shortage, the cabinet of ministers has approved the purchase of 400 MegaWatts of emergency power for up to nine months.
It has been reported that 200 MW of floating power will be bought at 26.20 rupees per unit for six months from June 2019, while the remainder of the 200 MW is to be purchased from September 2019.
