23 Apr 2022

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Leader, former President Maithripala Sirisena is gearing to move out from his residence on Mahagama Sekara Mawatha (Paget Road) in Colombo in accordance with a Court directive for him to vacate the residence within a period of four weeks. Sirisena was in his constituency in Polonnaruwa during the New Year week and returned to Colombo last Monday (18). Upon his return, Sirisena and his family started to make preparations to move out of the Paget Road residence. The Government has allocated another official residence in Colombo for him. The new official residence allocated to Sirisena was the former official residence of ousted Minister Udaya Gammanpila in Colombo. Following his sacking from the Cabinet last month, Gammanpila moved out of his official residence a few days after.
