Rajapaksa was reportedly engaged in a discussion with one of his friends when they had spoken about the ongoing political and economic crisis in the country. According to the media report, Rajapaksa had told his friend that it was likely that only one member from the governing party stood a chance of being re-elected to the House and that member would be Minister D.V.
