The much-anticipated final round of Super League 2022 football will be held today (11) under lights at Colombo Racecourse Grounds. The in-form Blue Star Sports Club and the star-studded Colombo Football Club are tied on points on 19. They will play two respective games later today. If Blue Star win, they will win the title and if they lose and Colombo FC win their match, they can win the title.

Both matches will be streamed live on “Football Sri Lanka” YouTube Channel from 7.30 p.m.

Though the two sides are tied on the table, Blue Star had won the two sides’ match earlier in the league.

Colombo FC need Blue Star to either draw or lose their game against Blue Eagles Sports Club today and beat Sea Hawks FC in their match today to emerge the championship winners.

However, the chances are great that Blue Star will see through the final game against Blue Eagles, who are placed right at the bottom of the table with just two points.

In form striker Senal Sandesh, who is fresh off a hat-trick in the last game will look to keep hold of the Golden Boot in the tournament with another goal or two that would seal the title for Blue Star.

Blue Star shot-stopper Supun Kaveesh will also be determined to add another clean sheet to his tally of four and level up with Sea Hawks ’keeper Udayanga Perera for the Golden Glove.
