Supreme Court Justice Prasanna Jayawardena, PC, passed away at the age of 63 while receiving medical treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. Justice Jayawardena was a sitting puisne judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. He was also a senior member of the Unofficial Bar. Justice Jayawardena was appointed to the Supreme Court as a judge by former President Maithripala Sirisena in June 2016.
