The Chief Justice has appointed a three bench Trial-at-Bar to the Colombo High Court to hear the case of former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former IGP Pujith Jayasundera.
The duo have been charged with negligence of duties which resulted in the series of suicide bombings targeting Catholic churches and hotels on Easter Sunday of 2019.
Earlier, former Attorney General Dappula De Livera presented 800 charges in the Colombo High Court against Fernando and Jayasundera.
