Swiss staffer to be examined by Colombo JMO

The Swiss staffer who was allegedly abducted will undergo an examination today by the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer (JMO).

The medical examination will be done to check if the victim was sexually harassed and whether the victim had succumbed to mental stress following the incident.

The medical examination was ordered by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court when the case was taken up today. The case will be taken up again on 12 of December. On the 3rd of December, on a request by the CID, The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court imposed a temporary travel ban until 10 December. The Swiss Embassy employee yesterday provided a 5 hour long statement to the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of the Police.
