The Police have arrested the Chairman and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of a religious festival held at a Hindu kovil in Jaffna recently, in violation of health guidelines for the prevention of Covid-19.
The ceremony was held at a Hindu temple in Vannarpannai, Jaffna last Sunday (25).
A large number of people were present and were not seen wearing face masks or following any other health instructions, the Health Department said.
