Two persons were killed in road accidents in Seeduwa and Kosgama areas. A lorry travelling towards Colombo collided with a motorcycle travelling in the same direction near the Temple Road on the Negombo-Colombo road. The motorcyclist who was seriously injured died on admission to the Negombo Hospital. The deceased was identified as a 56 year old resident of Nugape, Pamunugama. The driver of the lorry was arrested by the police. Meanwhile, another person was killed in a head-on collision between a three-wheeler and a bowser in the Salawa area on the Avissawella-Colombo road. A passenger in the three-wheeler has died in the accident. Two persons who were injured in the accident are being treated at the Avissawella Hospital.
