Sri Lanka’s left-arm medium-fast bowler Isuru Udana is likely to be dropped from today’s (20) second ODI against India, starting at 3 p.m. at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

Kasun Rajitha is to take Udana’s place, it was learnt.

He went for 27 runs, including five fours in his two overs, while also bowling three wides when he opened the bowling for the Lankans on Sunday (18) in the first ODI as the home team defended a modest 262 against the mighty Indian batting line-up.

Udana, along with Dushmantha Chameera who shared with him the new ball, is the most experienced bowler of the Sri Lanka side at present.

This may well be the end of the 33-year-old’s ODI career.

Udana is likely to play in only T20Is, that too until the World Cup of the format, coming up in October.
