From January to June 2021, Government expenditure on Covid-19 vaccines has amounted to US$ 110 million, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and the Treasury S.R. Attygalle said.
These statements were made during a discussion under the theme ‘Economic Management in the Face of the Epidemic’ at the Government Information Department recently.
It was also noted that tax revenue for the same period has increased by 8% in comparison to the previous year’s period.
Attygalle noted that this indicates a growth in economic activities within the country during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
