Vaccination will expand to 12 districts soon: Army Commander
The ongoing Sinopharm vaccination drive will be extended to numerous more districts from 8 June, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva stated today (2).
Accordingly, the districts are as follows –
- Matale
- Nuwara Eliya
- Kegalle
- Trincomalee
- Hambantota
- Badulla
- Anuradhapura
- Puttalam
- Ampara
- Batticaloa
- Moneragala
- Polonnaruwa
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa stated that during the expansion of the vaccination drive, authorities should give priority to senior citizens over the age of 60, pregnant mothers, and government employees.
