Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage recently inaugurated the Warakawa Village Project in Nawalapitiya in an effort to further the President's programme to create a self-sufficient country. The Warakawa Village Project is an agricultural village project under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture. This was considered a step to strengthen local agriculture and the economy of rural areas. The people of the area including the Chairman and members of the Pasbage Korale Pradeshiya Sabha were present at this occasion.
