MP Wimal Weerawansa’s wife Shashi Weerawansa, who was accused of submitting forged documents to obtain a diplomatic passport, has been served with two-years of rigorous imprisonment. When the case was taken up today (May 27), the Colombo Magistrate’s Court also imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 on the accused.
