The Z-score cut-off marks of the 2019 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination were released online, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge said yesterday (26).
He stated that the minimum Z-scores for selection to courses of study at universities in respect of each district and detailed information on course selection based on the A/L examination in 2019 can be accessed through the UGC website: www.ugc.ac.lk.
The release of the cut-off marks was repeatedly delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The results of the 2019 A/L examination were released in December 2019 and the students who passed the exam were calling for the immediate release of the Z-scores for university qualifications.
Last month, the UGC said the Z-scores were expected to be released in the first week of October, however this too was pushed back following a surge in Covid-19 cases in the country.
